People every day use aspirin, ibuprofen to treat headaches, toothaches, muscle strains and other painful issues.

New studies of these medications heave lead doctors to believe that they can lower risk of colon cancer.

Daily use of 75 to 100 milligrams of aspirin in a five year period of time can reduce risk of colon cancer of unbelievable 27%. This study is performed by recognized Dr. Sorein Friis of the Danish Cancer research center. He also come to incredible discovery that ibuprofen and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications can reduce chance of colon cancer by 30-45%.

He published his research in Annals of internal Medicine and said ‘’Our results indicate that if aspirin is taken at doses of 75 to 150mg, long term, continuous use is necessary to achieve a substantial protective effect against colorectal (bowel) cancer”.

Usage of aspirin and non-aspirin NASIDs for prevention of colorectal cancer is now limited by the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding and for cardiovascular risks so we cannot use the full potential of these medications.

So these potential harms will need to be balanced so we can use aspirin and ibuprofen full healing capacities against colon cancer.
