After thousands of unexplained deaths over the last century, it seems that the Bermuda Triangle mystery has finally been solved.

According to a recent finding, the ‘killer’ clouds are those accountable for downing so many planes and sinking so many ships in this notorious area.

As found by researchers, hexagonal clouds, which prevail in the Bermuda Triangle, create fierce winds that reach 270 km/h, known as air bombs. These air bombs are believed to be so powerful that they can take down airplanes and sink ships.

Imagery from a NASA satellite was used to determine the size of these clouds, some of which are 20 to 55 miles across.

As explained by Colorado State University’s satellite meteorologist Dr. Steve Miller, “You don’t typically see straight edges with clouds. Most of the time, clouds are random in their distribution.”

Using satellite radars to measure what’s going on under the clouds, scientists discovered that sea winds can reach speeds of nearly 270 km/h, which equals the speed of Hurricane Katrina.

These winds are so fierce they create waves over 13 meters high and so-called ‘air bombs’ that drop in the ocean.

The discovery has finally put an end to all the theories relating to the Bermuda Triangle – one of the most mysterious places on the planet.
