Meditation is a type of mental discipline which goes beyond the level of thinking to achieve a deeper state of awareness and relaxation. It belongs to the group of proven alternative therapies and can be generally understood as a medicine for the mind and body.

More and more doctors advised meditation as a means to regulate high blood pressure, improve physical fitness, to facilitate breathing people who have asthma, insomnia wins, to get rid of stress and relaxes the body.

Meditation is a simple way to balance the physical, mental and emotional condition and everyone can use according to their needs. The value of meditation as a way of healing and reduction of symptoms was known and used for thousands of years. It is scientifically proven benefits of meditation which contributed to become an increasingly popular way of treatment, relaxation and spiritual development.

There are different systems of meditation and the most famous is certainly the Transcendental meditation (TM), Taoist meditation, Zen meditation and Buddhist meditation and everyone chooses the type of meditation according to personal preferences and needs.

Meditation can be performed in different ways:

Sitting in a meditative position, without moving and with control of attention as Vipassana.

Expressive practice of meditation in which the body allows it to be free, and anything can happen. In this type there are Siddha yoga and chaotic meditation.

The practice of one day activities are carried out with full directionality mind of what it is like in Mahamudra,

All these meditative practices have one common thing - focusing and calming the restless mind always. It is not intended to remove stimulation but to concentrate on one a healing element - one sound, one word, one image or breathing. When the mind is filled with a feeling of peace and relaxation, then there is no room for worry, stress and depression.

In recent decades has done much research on the impact of meditation on the psychological and physical health of a person. The results showed that during meditation the body reaches a state of deep relaxation and rest. At the same time, the brain and the mind are much more rested and ready so that you are in a state of "relaxed alertness".

Meditation reduces the activity of the nervous system. The parasympathetic part of the autonomic nervous system of the brain or involuntary nervous system is dominant. This part is responsible for tranquilizers. When a person is anxious and under tension increases the level of lactate in the blood. Lactate is a product of the metabolism of the skeletal muscle. During meditation blood lactate levels in the blood is reduced four times faster than it decreases in shape when not meditating, but just relaxed lie on your back or on the premeditation condition. So dramatic reduction in lactate during meditation is indicated respective further study in later studies confirmed the faster blood flow during meditation. Benson and Wallace noted that for 32% speed up the flow of blood in the body during meditation. Thus, increases blood flow faster delivery of oxygen to skeletal muscle tissue, which then produces lactate at a reduced amount.

Dr Borjsenko, a pioneer in the study of meditation says - "calming the mind, meditation can bring man into contact with its inner healer, allowing the inner wisdom of the body to be heard".
